  Choi Jung Soo (Shin Don Wook) was left in an orphnage by his father who could no longer take care of him after his wife left him for another man. He had a bright future in medicine but could ill afford the tuition fee. In despair, he took off to the remote island where his father grew up in the hope that he would find him there. He ended up spending 7 years there working under the guidance of the island’s only doctor and became very good at it.   The subject of ‘Bad Wife’ is quite ordinary compared to other dramas. There is no amnesia nor is there an innocent child who contracts a fatal disease like other Korean dramas in the same time-slot. The changing roles of a husband and wife are not such an extraordinary or an unusual subject for a TV drama.
  However, in such a banal setting, the drama succeeds in bringing out a variety of entertaining situations. By changing roles with each other, the married couple comes to face a new environment and, due to the new environment, they face changes through understanding and conflict. The drama realistically describes the process of such change, by providing a few details of some ordinary lives.

• Description:
  Young-jun, president of Young-Eum Music, fights the conspiracy of Sungchoon, president of rival company, Victory Records. But he ultimately dies while fighting. Sungchoon and his people cover up Young-jun’s death as an accident. Young-jun’s wife, Myungja, gives birth to their son, Sung-jae but due to Young-jun’s sudden death, she falls into grief. Sungchoon has also been raising his children, Min-chul and Min-ji, alone after his wife’s death. He proposes to Myungja and she accepts.
  In the meantime, at an orphanage, Yeon-soo and Sae-na, two orphans as close as sisters, are preparing for a birthday party for just the two of them. Coincidentally, the president of Victory Records, Sungchoon and his son, Sung-jae, happen to visit the orphanage.
  Time passes and … Yeon-soo works hard at making a living by teaching art and working at a restaurant. On the Christmas when Yeon-soo and Sae-na promised to meet, Yeon-soo is involved in an unexpected car accident and is unable to keep her promise. From then, they walk separate paths without learning of each other’s whereabouts.
